GLOBAL MEDIA FOUNDATION

Global Media Foundation (GLOMEF), formerly African Media Aid (AFRIMA) human rights and anti-corruption media advocacy organization was founded by a broadcast Journalist and human rights and anti-corruption crusader, Raphael Godlove Ahenu Jr. in 2005 under the Companies Code, 1963(ACT179). It was registered as a Non-governmental Organization Limited by guarantee and was given the certificate under the provision of Sections 27 and 28 of Companies Code, 1963 giving it entitlement to commence business with effect from 29 January 2009.

GLOMEF is aimed at creating a vibrant, dynamic, and smart media in Africa to fight against corruption and seek social justice as well as ensure sustainable development through the promotion of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), peace, democratic governance, human rights, youth, and women development and ensuring free flow of information. We are dedicated to the betterment of the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society.

Our goal is to promote human rights, mitigate conflict and build peaceful societies in Africa. We work closely with communities to build upon their awareness of human rights, sensitize governments for positive responses to human rights violations and organize third-party peaceful negotiations between conflicting groups.

We also serve as a vibrant voice for the voiceless, soliciting, linking and facilitating the needed resources for sustainable development. We encourage the participation of our well-wishers and supporters, who share the organization’s common vision of improving the future of our country. GLOMEF was formed to address the woes of our continent, which have made life very miserable for the people, especially the youth, children and Women of Africa. Our aims are to help eradicate extreme poverty and hunger for the people in our target communities.
