Atwima Rural Bank Ltd

Atwima Rural Bank Ltd was established in 1980. It is the first Rural Bank to be established in Ashanti Region and the third in the country. The Bank is headquartered at Foase-Atwima the District Capital of Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly. The Bank is governed by six member Board under the chairmanship of Mr. Kwabena Awuah ably supported by a management team that consist of the General Manager, Operation Manageress, Credit Manager, Audit Manager, I.C.T Manager and the six branch Managers. The Bank aside its Head Office branch at Foase operates five other branches at Kwadaso, Allabar, Patasi and Daban all in Kumasi Metropolis and Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District. The branches are strategically located to take advantage of the economic potentials of the operational areas. Allabar branch is located close to Kumasi Central Market, one of the largest market centres in the West Africa Sub-Region. Kwadaso branch is located near Kwadaso Market, the S.D.A Hospital the second Health Centre after Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti Region and Wood Village The Patasi Branch is also on the Santasi Roundabout/Sofoline interchange highway associated with chains of boutiques, supermarkets and the Ashanti Regional Police Training School. Daban on the other hand is sited in the fast developing suburbs of Kumasi namely Sokoban, Ampayoo and Kyekyewere. The Bank provides traditional banking services such as Current, Savings, Time and Microfinance (Susu) Accounts. Credit products provided by the Bank are; Commercial, Microfinance, Salary and Social Loans, particularly Funeral Loans. The Board of Directors has instituted measures to re-position the Bank to regain its enviable position as the premier Rural Bank in Ashanti Region by the year 2020.
