NOVIENYO AGRO PROCESSING ASSOCIATION

Novienyo Agro Processing Association is a non-governmental organization that was established in November 2014 and duly incorporated under the companies’ code of Ghana in June 2015 with the Mission of mobilizing peasant farmers and creating markets for them by the use of funds from donor organizations, the government and other charities.

As a grassroots based organization with agricultural engineers, research officers and marketing managers, we go the extra mile up the hill and down the valley to identify and ascertain those who actually need the assistant after we conduct research on farmer practices and modern techniques farmers could use to make their lives more comfortable. Since the inception of the association, it has initiated good interventions in the agriculture sector which has brought great relief to hundreds of local community members through the harnessing of its engineering and behavior change communication solutions.

To achieve its goal, the association uses collaborative efforts amongst Government agencies; Donor community and agricultural organizations to improve the socio-economic wellbeing of marginalized people.

We believe that the Agro Processing sector’s financing gap is a major one and to transcend the daunting task of achieving total agricultural acceleration for all, as projected by the UN SDG1&2call for zero hunger, we are seeking deeper collaboration within a multi-stakeholder sphere approach involving individuals, private sector, public sector, external donor agencies and other agro processing organizations to consolidate our operations in Ghana and Africa as a whole.

We seek to implement innovative, market opportunities, and technological methods/approaches to help tackle the problem from the grassroots thus creating lasting positive impact, to restore the dignity and value of agriculture in our communities and country towards the achievement of the 2015 UN SDG1&2 .
