Description

The idea for the establishment of the first secondary school in the then Techiman District was wholly a result of community advocacy and the initiative of the Techiman Traditional Council during the reign of Nana Akumfi Ameyaw III, released about 200 acres of land for the purpose. Consequently, on the 6th of March 1963, the foundational stone for the establishment of Techiman Senior High School was laid by Hon. a. J. Dowuona Hammond, the then Minister of Education in the First Republic of Ghana under Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. On the 1st of November 1963, the school was officially opened with seventy-one (71) students. The Motto of the school is “NIHIL NISSI OPTIMUM” (in Latin, meaning Nothing but the best).

To be a school where products are well disciplined to be peacefully co-exist with other by inculcating moral and religious values into them to make them believe in themselves.


Mission

The school stands to provide equal access to all students, provide a conducive environment to enhance teaching and learning, offer welfare services for both staff and students, instilling discipline and good moral values in our students.
