Kintampo Senior High School (KINSHS for Short) was established and housed in a private house at old kyeremankomah on Friday 15th October 1971.

Kintampo senior high school is an institution that wishes to be one of the foremost educational institutions in the country, training students to be disciplined and to achieve high standards of quality education with equal opportunities for both sexes.

Our central purpose is to provide a broad secondary education and sound moral training for the young boys and girls of the country.” PEACE, LOVE, PROSPERITY” is the motto of the School.


Brief History

Kintampo senior High School (KINSHS for Short) was established and housed in a private house at old kyeremankomah on Friday 15th October 1971 with a student population of thirty-two (32) made up of 29 boys and 3 girls with three male tutors. Years later it was absorbed into the public system. The school moved to its current location in November 1986 under the headship of Madam Alexandra Yiri-Erong. It is a co-educational institution. Two prominent natives, late J.B. Mensah and Madam Dora Agyei were instrumental in the founding of the School.

Its central purpose is to provide a broad secondary education and sound moral training for the young boys and girls of the country.
