The school was established as a co-educational second cycle institution to offer secondary and technical education to graduates of Junior High schools in and around Akuse and beyond. It was established in January 1991 as one of the Senior High Schools as a result of the implementation of the 1983 Educational Reform Programme. The school started with an initial population of forty-five (45) and steadily grew to its current enrollment of 1969 during the 2017/18 academic year.The school is located in EASTERN Region at Akuse of Lower Manya Krobo district.
